Manicured Noise-Big In Argentina! 11 July 07

Apart from the bundles of critical acclaim that CTRUE 3 the Manicured Noise "Northern Stories" 1978/80 album has gathered in the UK and US, it now  seems that Argentina has taken to the release, big time.

A large part of this is the direct connection that Manicured Noise have with  Luca Provan, whose band, Sumo, are an Argentine legend. Drummer Stephanie Nutall played with the group until the onset of the Malvinas war in 1982 when she returned to England. A major documentary is currently in production with the Argentinian Channel 1, which Caroline True has been glad to sanction.

In the UK, EMI have licensed "Faith" from the album to use on a forthcoming Post-Punk compilation-more details later.

"As a cautiously vitalist response to the more self-destructive currents of post-punk Manicured Noise are/were invaluable, and a hell of a lot of fun to boot."  (Ian Mathers-Stylus Magazine)

The album is still available with the ltd poster (few left) and available from Caroline True-Paypal:
