Jon Savage has been putting some mixes out over at ByteFM in Germany. Here's one he's just put together featuring tracks from the forthcoming Post-Punk '77-81 compilation on CTR that Jon has  compiled.

It serves as a taster for the album. It's going to be a strictly limited vinyl release with special packaging. More news soon..

I've put a mix together of  80s' sounds that weave an evocative picture, for me, of the early to mid (ish) years of that decade. Some of you may be familiar with at least a clutch of these, or maybe not. A couple, at the very least, were nestling right at the back of the vinyl mountain. Unloved and unplayed since then. Until now.  Also, there's a couple of tracks here that we regularly play out at CTR. I'd hate to put a tag on this mix, I know that I'd be wrong. So, I won't do it.

It starts pretty slowly-bear with it..it's worth it.

We've been away for a while-but the Springtime brings a return! Which means a few parties and some new releases on CTR, appearing very soon.

 Meanwhile-we're out at the Vaults in Shrewsbury on Saturday May 8th playing our usual mix of sounds. Guess what we're going to play? OK-Let's leave it that, just come along....

Dennis Bovell, an original exponent of UK Reggae with his band Matumbi, plays the Severn Cellars in Shrewsbury with his Dub-Band on Thursday 11th March.

Much loved at CTR for his production work with the Slits, The Pop Group and stand-out Factory act Ex-O-Dus (English Black Boys) he is onstage with the band at 21.30.

 We musn't forget that he also turned his alchemic touch to the classic "Silly Games" by Janet Kay...
